In a two storeys of 179 square meters space, the rst oor is for working, which provides a nice environment for working together but a separated space for every person. The eight well-proportioned separated rooms have eight functions( ve rooms for working, while other three rooms are for thinking, for stairs, and for toilet separately) and they are connected by a six-meter long corridor, forming a separated but opened working space.

With a wild area of white wall, as well as the two storeys white Buddhist sutra, the thinking room formally achieved “the peace in heart”. In every separated space, the light which is from a lamp re ected the chair, the desk, as well as the person on the white wall, forming a different world in one’s own mind. The function of the second floor is mainly for external exchanges, the drying cabinet, the leisure activities as well as the meeting discussion or communication. With the partial lights from the first white Buddhist sutra, this place formed a free space, in which people can have a rest or free-thinking here. We aimed to make this project achieving the concept of “the small means too much“ in space- distribution, a friendly-environmently material choosing as well as the di erence in our means of working.

Essentially, building is a kind of separation. In today’s modern life, People always skipped in different space and busied with their various works. Sometimes we cannot enjoy the free breathing in our nature, among the concrete buildings, we give our last hope to our own space to enjoy our quite breathe. This project is a sample of the workroom, small enterprise or loft apartment. We de ne our project as a designer, artist and curator +...+..which is Named as "white box". Through this so-called "box", We intend to express an unclear boundaries among our various jobs, the uncertainty of people’s working state, as well as the possibility and diversity of multi-industry. The color white is a combination of all colors while it is also a de ciency of them all.
