At the foot of Mount Huang and Qiyun Mount, at the bank of Zixi River with villages around and various intersections of roads, the rice fields emits fragrance. A time-honored middle school with past glory will be renovated into a 28-story holiday villa 1 boutique hotel resort. Country Life Art Commune is built here silently. Mount Huang has magnificent natural landscape and also a large number of specimen of human settlements with a profound history. At different seasons, we once sat at the bank of Zixi River in the rice field wander in the groove after rain feeling various delicate and delightful or thought-provoking changes. Various pictures will naturally come to our mind about life and design. Over years we have been attracted and fascinated by such beautiful landscape and profound history and culture. We hold that for architecture Landscape or indoors, the focus of design should be the connection and integration of natural beauty. We should cherish the landscape endowed by nature respect the architectural culture of Huizhou instead of emphasizing the design itself isolated. We use simplified architectural lines to honor Huizhou-style architecture. From the city to village even for a few days there will also be another possibility in life. Both life and to live need possibilities instead of constraints and confinements. Therefore, in design our focus is to deal with the space portfolio we hope to render more possibilities to life Respect human’s creativity and diversity. For most rooms, the ratio of courtyard area and indoor area is about 1:1. Use the distance of a door to connect indoor areas and nature. We want to try whether we can get closer to nature. People always have different demands we use multifunctional space and a large number of windows and sliding doors. Enhance the ductility of the spatial function to match different life scenes to leave blank in life and render more possibilities. What can we do for you how to leave scenery in life a large picture window more than 12 m² different views at different seasons? Paintings of constantly changing nature in the window frame let dwellers to enjoy the original Huizhou landscape at different distances and seasons. In terms of spatial proportion, the ratio of bathroom and bedroom reach 1:1 adding comfort to residential experience. We hope that each step here is relaxing and free. In terms of dynamic planning change the single-line design of traditional furniture and adopt loop design more. While adding visual layer and ductility improve the comfort and freedom of activities in the space. Tender and robust, Soft and integral. Clean and spotless, Branch and light shadow embedded in the black world implicit and tender. Refreshing green emitting light fragrance Vines, stools, tea accompany each other in brightness. A hidden vigor Calms the unease heart. We try to use local traditional materials we seek the ancient materials and techniques of Huizhou. We try to decompose and use them from the perspective of modern life. We search ancient items in Huizhou try to make them relive in modern life.

The house is located on an informal neighborhood on the periphery of Mexico City. It’s a small house of 100 m2 for a retired teacher. The limited budget of the client forced us to use the most common and economic materials of the local construction industry. We worked Hand by Hand with the local builders to re-interpret their knowledge on local construction systems. Originally, the project consisted of two twin patio houses within a small and narrow plot, one for the client and the other one for her sister. Once we started the construction, the front house was cancelled and we only did the house for the client in the back of the plot, leaving a big garden in between the garage and the house. Due to the increasing and fast growth of this region, we estimate than in a period of 5 to 7 years, the surrounding lots will develop in a very dense and intrusive way, leaving our house enclosed by a dense informal housing. Because of this characteristic of the immediate context we decided to design an intrusive body of brick with a concrete skeleton that opens to an inner patio to protect the views from the other neighbors to the plot. This patio is the core of the whole Project. We used the volcanic Stone that we found on the terrain to build the foundations, platform, stairs and exterior wall of the house. The two bedrooms are built over a light wooden deck that gives a warm and beautiful wooden ceiling to the main public spaces below. All the service and circulation areas are located along a linear spine, while the living spaces are located in the arms of the house that enclose the patio. This central – open space articulates the living room and dining room and due to the good weather of the region, the patio can act as an extension of both public spaces to have a bigger public area on the ground floor. light plays an important role in this house and it is managed in various ways according to the space.

Svoya is not just a design studio. Svoya is a way of life consisting of family values, friendship, creativity and the love for creation. Anintegrated approach reflects the philosophy of the value of each element created by them, filling it with meaning, the values of humanrelationships of talented people who surround Svoya and the values of trust, which stimulates continuous development. The “Hello BABY” children’s center islocated on the first floor of a residentialcomplex in the central part of the city ofDnipro. Initially, the architects of SVOYASTUDIO had the task to design a newadditional space for the existing centerwith their own identity. In the process, the name and branding were developedanew by Alexander Sidorenko, accordingto a new design concept. The children’s center, with an area of 517 m2, includes the following groups of rooms: the entrance group combines areception, a mini-coffee house and a store of themed products. From this space, there is an exit to a corridor that runsthrough the entire center. This disposition provides for the prospect of expanding the space. The corridor has a gamefunction and is equipped with stylized seating. From the reception, you can immediately get to the gym (as well as the entrance to it is provided from the changing rooms). The gymworks for both children’s audience and for parents’ classes, having a separate adult locker room with showers. The office foradministration and teachers is also located as close as possible to the entrance area; the club has several bathrooms - for children (maleand female), for adults and for staff (with a shower area); 3 large classrooms. Two of which can be combined and one adapted for the«quiet hour»; 3 rooms for individual lessons; an administrative and economic block of premises; the music room; the room for creativity.

This is a family residence built on the coastal town of Salinas, Asturias, on a small trapezoid- shaped lot located between two different residential zones, a townhouse complex and a single-family residence. The project tries to harmonize these conditioning circumstances by following the property lines on the townhouses on Madreselva Street, and also the clearance that is customary in the case of single-family residences facing the wide-open space of the Deva Park. The reponse to this is a home with asymmetrical “L” shape, which generates an indoor space with the main living areas being open facing the most adequate direction. The more private pedestrian access is provided through Madreselva Street, in the direction of the downtown area of Salinas, where the beach is located. Having a large family in mind, the lower floor has the day areas: home office, living room and kitchen-dining combo, with massive floor-to-ceiling windows. On the upper floor, are four bedrooms, which open up to a “fenêtre lounguer”, that interrupts the volumen and breaks the edges of the “L”. This window is topped by an overhang canopy which protects from the sun in the summertime as well as frames the park views.

Traditional theaters pay more attention on panoramic sound effects and the viewing experience on the screen while they lack creativity. The single business model of selling tickets and snacks, will it somehow weaken the experience and expectations that the venue can give the audience? Or ignore the chemistry that can occur between the audience and the theater? As designers, we found an improvement approach which might be potential answer to the questions in this project. According to the original plane, we can only build four relatively square video halls. Since this space pattern is difficult to provide rich viewing, we changed the thinking of traditional design and transformed its logic that purely focused on decoration into more in-depth thinking. From the perspective of integrating composite formats, the theater space is integrated with other formats with similar entertainment attributes to build an avant-garde new cinema space that meets the relatively closed business loops. Originating from the owner’s personal hobby, we moved the lounge bar into the theater space. It is not only an independently operable space, but also symbiotic and mutually beneficial with the cinema. The experiential claw machine and other entertainments also stimulates consumers to extend their stay in the theater, maximizes the value of the space effect, and makes up for the free time before and after the movie. In terms of design concepts and aesthetics, we also break away from tradition and use space narrative to uniquely show the “shooting scene” of film production. Consumers’ flows just string out the film’s narrative logic so that the demand for spatial aesthetic experience before and after the film-watching was fully tapped and met. The main hall of the cinema presents unique “visual effects” to every audience. The exaggerated black and gold color looks dramatic. The sales area and ticket office constructed by the exquisite “prop box” create a sense of fashion. The large floor lamps inspired from photographic lamp stand in between, creating a strong immersive experience atmosphere. The warm-colored lights of the different geometric shapes not only give the audience a strong scene suggestion, but also reflect the abstract art style with the lights refracted on the gradient floor. The billiard table is supported by the fantasy-shaped duck webs, which has a surprising visual impact. The experiential claw machine in the metal-like entertainment space upgrades the experience of young customers. Dark red sofas, beds and bathtubs with design sense, all of these shooting props have successfully arranged a series of elegant compositions and close-ups. The bar, made of casual furniture imitating a director’s chair, invites people to indulge in a relaxing atmosphere that is very different from ordinary life. Hall No.1 simulates an European-style study, with classic bookcases and black and red seats overflowing with aristocratic heritage. In Hall No.2 we built a grotesque artist’s living room. The Dutch-style wall uses only pure colors and geometric images to express the purity of the design spirit. The unique inverted hall is full of drama effect, with bunny sculpture in the auditorium and hanging hat-shaped lamps adding funs to the space. Hall No.3 adopts light luxury and elegant arches of classical architectural elements to bring a sense of order. Black and white strips of carpet and seats embellish the quiet dark green space. Hall No.4 transforms into a futuristic surreal street. The bright neon shows the vitality of the city and the rich colors convey the style of fashion. Regardless of the video halls or the private rooms, we did not ignore the specific requirements of the acoustic environment. The wall coverings and ceilings in the venue are equipped with sound-absorbing devices, and personalized carpets effectively reduce noise. Comfortable seats, taking into consideration the high vision difference and viewpoint height, have ensured high-quality listening and visual enjoyment and enhanced the audience’s immersive movie watching experience. While satisfying the best viewing needs and leisure entertainment, the designer has completely changed the interactive viewing experience through landscaping in the hall. And by creating scenes ingeniously, the designer pays tribute to the filmmakers who have made countless laughter and tears on the screen and presents a perfect film-watching journey for movie enthusiasts. In addition to providing entertainment and popcorn, a cinema should also pay attention to the connection between audience and the art of film. Director Hou Hsiao-hsien has a saying, “There are many valuables in our life that is impossible to describe and difficult to classify, and they can’t even constitute any significant meaning. But, they just linger in my mind.” The space that the designer has created as a space director exactly expects to fill gaps between reality and fantasy and to create those incomparable valuables in people’s life.

RooMoo is happy to release our new Lecoq restaurant in Gubei, Shanghai. Gubei is a charming local district, welcoming families. Frequently, you will see parents taking their kids to school and hear some laughter from a child playing at the playground on the opposite of the street. It is in this context that we designed our restaurant, night bar, and grocery store. It sounds quite like a large place, but those three functions get all together in an 87 m2 shop with a 15,7 m2 kitchen. The real challenge was to try to mix those three functions and still let the customer understand that they could come to buy some groceries, at the same time eat dinner or lunch and still stay after for party at the bar. Each function should be understandable at any moments of the day without disturbing each other. For doing so, the external space of the storefront adopts a full-open symmetrical design, and a multi-openable mobile door design connects the indoor and outdoor spaces to the maximum extent. At the same time, different opening methods in different seasons are set, which is convenient for operators to create more Comfortable using scene flexibly. The considerable metal frame integrates the two entrances of the original storefront. The light and economical setting of the light warm grey metal iron mesh forms another transparent skin on the original load-bearing wall. In the rendering of natural light and night lights, penetrate to deduce its solid feeling. In the design of the internal space, to achieve its special functional requirements, we redesigned the entire mezzanine space, liberating the end of the mezzanine space. Through the overall opening of the glass curtain wall, the light overlapped the date. Indoor. At the same time, the mezzanine area of the backyard is reserved. The kitchen and the public toilet are placed on it to ensure that the space on the first floor is maximized for functional layout. we divided internal space by four: between front, back, left and right. It allows us to separate function but also to reinforce the design. We use mirrors to divide the space and enlarge it by using reflection. We mirrored the front with the back, and we reflected the left with the right. The front counter is the deli-counter arranging diverse displaying ways and storages when the back provides a bar service in a more cosy atmosphere with different material performances. To participate to the mirror reflection, we re-use the same language of wood sticks at the counter to bring a little “grocery touch counter” at the front, and we transformed those sticks into acrylic to deliver more delightful ambience by lighting it and turn it into a bar at the back. A staircase with spiral-covered leather armrests is located in the center behind the bar for the functional purpose to save space and to gain a focus sight behind the bar. The staircase leads to the kitchen and toilet. On the left and right of this space, you can find brick-walls with a unique pattern designed for this restaurant. Those recycled bricks carry with them a part of history. Every furniture and lighting have been bespoke at the exception of the chairs. You can find small mirrors placing randomly between the bricks and therefore playing with light and vibration during the day and night, bringing the feeling of hundred candles hanging and lighting your evenings.

Tangkou town, 1 km long from the south gate of Mount Huangshan, is the main life service and the tourist reception base. The project to be reshaped is located at no.1 Xiaolingxia, Gang Village. The original building is a typical old-fashioned scenic hotel and seats at the west end of the whole building complex along the road. The Gang Village Road is located in the southeast with a wide visual field. The building faces the mountains to the southwest, a stream flowing by at the foot of the mountain. The courtyard plot, situating to the southeast façade of the original, looks like a triangle, and the whole boundary of the building is blurred. As part of the building groups along the road, some buildings are affected by the road direction on their boundaries, and other boundaries are formed owing to the surrounding natural landscape that they encroach on each other’s space. Outside the garden is a country road from north to south and on the other side of the road lies the parking lot. It is apt to overlook the height difference in the process of initial measurement, due to the hardened slope as the ground, while actually, the relative height difference between the interior floor of the upper building and the road is approximately 1.5 meters, which is an essential factor for the reshaping of architectural space. Although interior space of the building was originally planned for living, it doesn’t meet the current accommodation requirements, as the unified flat planning design and highdensity rooms result in bad daylighting and narrow washroom space. As for external façade of the building, the first thing we should do is to remove element collage, including glazed tile decoration of the balcony and the long wall of the armrest at the top floor, and the huge hotel door-head, for space expression. Beyond this, remodeling architectural space is the best for overall arrangement of indoor and outdoor spaces. In the transformation designing, a problem has been repeatedly proposed, that is “how to make sure the boundary is manageable?” It is inevitable to discuss the triangular courtyard when we are considering the functional layout and design of the general plane. Thus, whether from the courtyard or the interior to the outside of the physical boundary, you will always see an area formed by an Angle. Our idea is to weaken its visual presence. Firstly, the entrance to the courtyard is positioned on a tangent parallel to the building, so that the triangular region is shrunk to an extreme, namely, it is the lowest part in height difference treatment. In addition, a semicircular arc is added to work in concert with parallel tangents of the building. The cast-in-situ concrete bounding wall is embedded into the site and connected with the existing walls on both sides. As a material boundary, the bounding wall is expected to be well-proportioned together with buildings. We reserve a portion of the grille square partition made of material the same as the cast-in-situ bounding wall, enhancing boundaries while maintaining the visual extension. Reshaping of the building facade and interior space. The first floor of the building is the most important public area of the whole guesthouse, functioning as the reception, dining room, activity areas, and logistics and support office; the second and third floors are mainly guest rooms; on the top floor, there are duplex two-story bedrooms and an outdoor independent terrace, besides a multi-function hall. There are 13 rooms in total of different size and different designs. On the building façade, the original porch is converted into a raised dining area as a part of the façade; on the third floor, bay windows are added to form a threedimensional effect, which also expands the outdoor part of the room, allowing more sunlight for the rooms and creating a visual extension. The main entrance door is designed on a vertical line-of-sight near the courtyard door. Because of large gap of relative height difference, an accessible ramps is placed between the courtyard door and indoor space. So the courtyard door is divided into three, of different heights; the pool and the indoor floor are on the highest terrace; The courtyard entrance is the first independent height terrace; the courtyard entrance is the first independent height terrace, and the second on is the SLATE surface of the courtyard. In the motion trend designing, there are invisible wandering routes in the building besides the functional streamlines. As a result, you may choose to follow a quick route to get your destination, or to try arc stairs, or projecting stairs, or both. As you’re walking around in the building, your mind will form an overall impression, which is stored in a fragmented visual way. In the transformation of the whole project, the insertion of the patio makes it possible to overlap the spaces to different degrees. A light patio between the main building and its auxiliaries is designed to allow a large amount of light and air convection from the north direction of the first floor. As for the patio of the main staircase, the original stair steps are only reserved for handrails at a bird’s-eye angle. The staircase through the first floor is re-poured and the patios both of the second and third floors are all renovated, to form a whole patio going through three floors. To a certain extent, this is also the guiding effect of the clearance space. There is also an auxiliary small patio between the second and third floors, increasing the interest of architectural space while maximizing the daylighting for the north space. Although long skylight of the second floor has been retrofitted before, this time, we use frameless processing completely and allow sunlight to enter into space from the roof, creating a sense of mystery. The appropriately represented boundary indicates it has an interior domain. Offsets can also be part of the creation. The initial understanding of and the way to get along with things will be magnified in our memories. It is common to find similar treatment in both architectural components and interior design, such as terrace grille with wrought iron railings and cast-in-place concrete handrails, vertical grille of a window facade on a long floating window, circular windows in stair patio arrays, teahouse partition with square grille and wooden doors, and horizontal grid division on the facade of the penthouse window. The arc element, originally used in the enclosure treatment, is used for the contour treatment of the multi-function hall on the top floor, for we want to enlarge the range of arc elements. Image it as a huge glass storage tank on the roof. arc elements are also adopted in the main stair patio edge treatment, the arc stair of double entry room and the post visual system. This can also be found in the use of indoor materials. Rather than singly appearing in a space, they are used in a generalized way, for example, ground made of old and new Chayuan stones, U-shaped ground glass partition and tea table, paintings with different grayscale texture, metal surface. although not too many materials are used, but they are presented in different forms many times, including use of the corresponding material on furniture, as if they are magnified in our memories. Similarities and differences co-exist at the same time, so that the changes of each part maintain a kind of relevance. To shape the interpersonal communication atmosphere of the space, our understanding of regional culture does not emphasis on neat collage of elements, instead, should promote communication and contact with local cultures, including collecting household utensils or local ingredients, and tracing the gastronomic practices, etc. The purpose of the building and the interior space is for use, or the building is a service space. It is an inexorable trend to transform rural properties for a better living at present time. The project transformation itself is a test to break and shape the relationship.

SAOTA’s Hillside home in Los Angeles is located immediately above Sunset Boulevard on a promontory just one over from Pierre Koenig’s landmark Stahl House. The site is a 20,000 square foot estate, featuring 300-degree views over the LA skyline and the city basin below, and the design was conceived of more as a self-contained oasis rather than a conventional house. The Stahl House served as a key point of departure. The forms and articulation of Hillside’s roof planes, which were pushed as far forward as possible so that they could create meaningful external covered living spaces, set its architecture in dialogue with the iconic silhouette nearby and connect it to the drama of its context. The largely open-plan interior, in the absence of mass walls, has been articulated vertically and through volumetric changes to rationalise the layout. References to modernist construction techniques are picked up in the articulation of the steel columns and the sensuous and tactile use of timber and limestone on the floors and wall, which is carried extensively throughout the interior and exterior detailing. Some of the identifying features such as the cut-outs in the roof have been reprised in the detailing of the interior ceilings to add interest. In keeping with SAOTA’s extensive experience in developing seamless indoor/outdoor open-plan living spaces appropriate to their base in Cape Town, South Africa, where the Mediterranean climate and topography are very similar to that in LA, they conceived of the programme as a series of living rooms connected to extensive covered outdoor terraces. These outdoor spaces are in turn enclosed by a vast undulating infinity pool and lush landscaping along the perimeter, subtly screening neighbouring properties (and ensuring their privacy) with climbing ficus trees. In keeping with the principles taken from the Stahl House and the ground-breaking Los Angeles Case Study Houses, which were built between 1945 and 1966, the generous allocation of outdoor space maximises the potential of the liveable climate, reconnecting contemporary LA architecture with a somewhat lost aspect of its modernist heritage.

Situated in a small village called Talangpore, this iconic and introvert abode is designed keeping in mindthe profession of the dweller. Context of the house resemble a very rural set up, sharing a common wallwith cow shed, an open ground for pasture on other side and opposite side being old traditional houses.Head of the family being Sarpanch (head) of the village gave a very brief requirement how the structureshould stand out from the surrounding as well as privacy of the house should be maintained. The organization of spaces on ground floorrevolves around the central courtyard, creating anindifferent entry on other side of living room forthe office space on level above. The elementaltranquil coil like staircase creates a unique humoras one enters though the main gate. The humorof this staircase continues as viewed from livingroom, in a way that during transition the privacyof the family is unhindered. The divergence of the massing is created through dead cubes and powder coated wood finished aluminum pipes as screen. This adds to the overall massing without compromising on view and ventilation. These masses which are vivid in nature yetare co-existing ideally, articulate the function of house forming a volumetric elevation. Contemporary needs and rural contexthelped to frame the color palette of the house. Earthy tones and exquisite furniture intermingles to create a unique outlook.

Q house is a small house, located in a suburb of Da Nang, Vietnam. With 100 square meters of land, the design was formed with the idea of a tropical house so it can suite well with the Mid-Vietnam weather conditions. The architect’s idea was a house with a simple shape with all rooms and spaces are chaining-operating that can match well with the owners’ needs. There are many problems with houses in cities, especially cities in Vietnam, including small area of land, lack of nature light, ventilation. The lack of nature light and the ventilation of a house are the most important problems that are need to be solved first. Due to these thoughts, Q house was designed to have a large front garden, which is also used for car parking. This garden can help delivering the need of nature light and air. It also is a nature “threshold” for this house. Plants and trees have an indispensable role, as a highlight of Q house, that help creating a relax spaces inside a small house. You will always feel the relaxation when in the house because of all the nature energies and ideal temperature that were created by the combination of available local materials, plants and the use of neutral colors. This house is a home of a new-married couple. They love the nature, they love plants, they love fishes and they love each other. They had talked to us for so long before this project’s idea was formed. They talked about their life before this, about all the tiny studios they used to live in, and how terrible they were for them. That’s why they wanted a house with full of light and air, a house with plants and fishes, a house with nature atmosphere, and house, is also a home, with happy tears. Fortunately, after this project was completed, most of the owners’ demands were well delivered. They love this house and thanked us for making their dream comes true, a dream of having a perfect house from their childhood’s imaginations. Last but not least, we hope this new house will be able to keep growing not only their happiness, but also their kids’.

MRN Kindergarten and Nursery

It’s an architecture project of a Kindergarten cum Nursery, situated amidst the rural fields on the foothills of Mt. Kirishima in Miyakonojo, Miyazaki, Japan. It often happened that the very same children who once studied here, came back with their own children even after so many years. It has become an institution that’s firmly rooted in the minds of the locals. Taking inspiration from this cycle, the design theme was set as “Connection”. The existing building was expanded and renovated several times in the past 30 years, but still it was nowhere close to the ideal environment we need for the upbringing of children in today’s time. So, after the demolition of the old building, the design of the new building was formulated properly defining the areas meant for different purposes of learning, playing, eating, exercising etc. Four big old trees were retained, with people looking upto them for watching over the upcoming generation. These trees are visible from all the nursery rooms. By designing the building, with them at the center, a visual connection in between the rooms, the trees and the children was established. The emergency staircase from the second floor was extended all the way underneath the tree branches, making it possible for children to closely feel them and hence create a playful environ under. Lots of Cedars and Hinoki Cypress trees from Miyazaki were planted for connecting kindergarten site with the local community and the nature. By properly segregating the spaces according to usage, the children may be able to identify, think, learn and evaluate on how to act and behave in that particular place by themselves.

Cedar consists of two five storey volumes connected by a glass footbridge that ensures a fast link between all levels. The building, the interior and the surrounding park are designed as an integral, welcoming whole, establishing a new typology for financial institutions: instead of emphasizing security and power, the architecture focuses on transparency, connectivity and collaboration. The highly sustainable, human centric design is a notable example of ING’s purpose to empower people in a building that opens itself up to society. The design received the sustainability label BREEAM-NL Outstanding. “Both the urban planning and architecture of Cedar evolve around connectivity,” says Pascal Cornips, architect and partner at Benthem Crouwel Architects. “Cedar links people, the neighborhood and society together in a creative and inspiring way. The transparency of the building’s facades perfectly embodies ING’s new philosophy with its focus on collaboration, empowerment and openness, but also ensures employees are always in touch with the green world outside.” Inside, bright and airy atriums are the central heart of the office and allow daylight to flood the building. The wide dimensions and the wide floor span of the low-rise building guarantee ample square meters on every floor and large open spaces that are perfect for an agile work environment. The way the floor plan layout is organized around and through the atriums allows for efficient and fast routing. The open floor plans give the employees optimal flexibility and also make alternative use in the future possible, if desired. HofmanDujardin designed both the full interior and the dynamic, floating platforms and staircases that criss-cross the two spacious atriums at the building’s heart. “The interior of Cedar is all about empowerment and well-being. You feel the freedom when you walk in. The platforms connect places and people and bring the vibrancy up to the highest levels of the building”, explain Barbara Dujardin and Michiel Hofman, founding partners of HofmanDujardin. All office floors are accessed from the platforms through warm textured entrance zones, each with their unique furnishing to create recognizable diversity. There is one single floor layout concept throughout the building with a well-balanced mix of spaces. This agile environment gives full freedom to choose where and how to work and meet. In between the areas with team tables and scrum boards, there are colorful clusters of meeting rooms in different sizes, accommodating anything from private calls to group meetings. Furthermore, each level has a silent area for concentration, with a reading table and a series of private booths. Throughout the building excellent acoustics ensure a sense of well-being and make it easy to focus.

This unique shape is like a lollipop. It is located in Yunnan. The lollipop ideal garden has a different history from other works. It redefines the architecture. As a vehicle for the teaching and cultural background of the school, half a year after the initial design was completed, the building began to be built in a location completely different from the original design environment. Haihua Eaton International Kindergarten is located in Yunnan. The Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Mengzi City, Shanghai Road, is located in the core area of the city center of Weinan. The project covers an area of 16 mu. The complex is centered around the city and is covered by the city. The project was completed in late 2018. When put into use, the building effectively captures the local cultural identity and has a unique recognition. The biggest difference between this kindergarten and other kindergartens is that all the inspiration in his design comes from the children’s art world. The most prominent feature is the design of the external shape. The key is the carrier and the main body is also shaped like a lollipop. Just like the children’s paintings, add more to the natural and childlike fantasy. The external appearance also removes the children’s strangeness and suspicion about the school. Reducing the icy feeling of reinforced concrete, after constantly experiencing design, modification, adjustment, scrutiny, and repeated innovation, the designer gave his life with a stroke and created the most “familiar freshness”. The color of the campus borrows the color of the sky gradient at dawn, from bottom to top, from deep to shallow, full of mystery and transforming infinite atmosphere, color can bring different feelings and emotions to children, while gradient color can give Children have more imagination space, pure gradient color makes the color more vivid and gentle, not monotonous and will not burden the vision. Designers are also trying to create a poetic and artistic world, giving children a strange world. Let them experience, grow and feel the four seasons here. Every region of the school has its own function. Thanks to the natural conditions of talent, at the beginning of the concept, the architect tries to create a campus that can blend with nature, with the rise of the morning sun, the gradient The facade of the wall, the sun hits the ground and the wall, forming a pleasant path. Under the sun, the air and the water are all accompanied by the breeze. The children have a complete connection with the children. The children breathe fresh. The air, while feeling the harmony of nature, walks through it and brings an extraordinary experience. The outdoor activity area brings interesting collisions—the contrast between concrete and color has reached a harmonious unity and a collision between new and old. The outdoor activity area is the main daily activity area for children. We also try to explore more space. Possibility, the designer hopes that this area is more open and flexible, to meet the needs of students of different ages. When the sun travels, the interesting path becomes a fun light and shadow game. It is these small details that make the campus look so special. This area is widely praised and loved by parents and children.

Beijing Daxing International Airport is a new airport in the Daxing district 46km south of the city centre (20 minutes by express train). Developed to alleviate congestion at the capital’s existing airport, Beijing Daxing will be a major transport hub for the region with the world’s fastest growing demand for international travel and is fully integrated within the country’s expanding transport network. Initially serving 45 million passengers per year, Beijing Daxing will accommodate 72 million travellers by 2025 and is planned for further expansion to serve up to 100 million passengers and 4 million tonnes of cargo annually. Beijing Daxing’s 700,000m² passenger terminal includes an 80,000m² ground transportation centre offering direct connections to Beijing, the national high-speed rail network and local train services, providing a catalyst for economic development in Tianjin and Hebei Province. Recently assigned the airport code ‘PKX’ by the International Air Transport Association, Beijing Daxing sets a new standard in air transport services, serving the region’s growing population within a compact and efficient passenger terminal that is adaptable for future growth. Echoing principles within traditional Chinese architecture that organise interconnected spaces around a central courtyard, the terminal’s design guides all passengers seamlessly through the relevant departure, arrival or transfer zones towards the grand courtyard at its centre – a multi-layered meeting space at the heart of the terminal. Six flowing forms within the terminal’s vaulted roof reach to the ground to support the structure and bring natural light within, directing all passengers towards the central courtyard. Natural light also enters the terminal via a network of linear skylights that provide an intuitive system of navigation throughout the building, guiding passengers to and from their departure gates. Structural spans of up to 100m create the terminal's generous public spaces and allow the highest degree of flexibility for any future reconfiguration. The compact radial design of the terminal allows a maximum number of aircraft to be parked directly at the terminal with minimum distances from the centre of the building, providing exceptional convenience for passengers and flexibility in operations. 79 gates with airbridges connect directly to the terminal which can rapidly process the passengers of six full A380 aircraft simultaneously. Five aircraft piers radiate directly from the terminal’s main central court where all passenger services and amenities are located, enabling passengers to walk the comparatively short distances through the airport without the need for automated shuttle trains. As a result, the terminal’s compact design minimises distances between check-in and gate, as well as connections between gates for transferring passengers. This radial configuration ensures the farthest boarding gate can be accessed in a walking time of less than 8 minutes. Photovoltaic power generation is installed throughout the airport to provide a minimum capacity of at least 10MW. Beijing Daxing’s centralised heating with waste heat recover y is supported by a composite ground-source heat pump system incorporating a concentrated energy supply area of nearly 2.5 million m². The airport also implements rainwater collection and a water management system that employs the natural storage, natural permeation and natural purification of up to 2.8 million cubic meters of water in new wetlands, lakes and streams to prevent flooding and counter the summer ‘heat island’ effect on the local microclimate.
