Situated on one of the steepest slopes of Tampah Hills in southern Lombok, Indonesia, Nyrenstone Estate is a house whose form is shaped by the terrain. The building follows the slope of the hill and is designed according to a geometry of circles and tangents.

건축은 가파른 지형을 인위적으로 다듬지 않고, 다층의 점진적 형태로 지형과 조화를 이루도록 설계되었다. 그 결과 건물은 단일 객체가 아닌, 마치 땅에서 자생한 듯한 형상을 띠며, 곡선과 층간 전환 등 형태적 요소는 지형과 시선, 동선을 고려한 논리적 과정으로 결정되었다. 티크목 천장, 오프화이트 벽, 팔리마난 석재 바닥 등 물성은 차분하고 일관되게 유지되어, 강한 실루엣 속에서도 건축이 경관에 자연스럽게 스며든다.
