이탈리아 디자이너 엔조 카텔라니(Enzo Catellani)는 세리오 강변 공방에서 조명을 수제작하는 하이엔드 조명 디자이너다. 1989년 ‘Catellani & Smith’를 설립한 그는 장인정신과 창의적 접근을 결합해 ‘빛의 조각’이라 불리는 조형적 조명을 선보인다. 카텔라니는 “조명이 빛을 만드는 것이 아니라, 장인의 손이 빛에 형태를 준다”는 철학 아래 조명을 예술 작품처럼 제작한다. 그의 작품은 로마 퀴리날레 궁전 컬렉션을 비롯해 국제 기관들에 소장되며, 다수의 국제 디자인상과 특허로 인정받았다. 지난 11월에는 한국에서 열린 전시 '빛을 조각하는 시간'으로 방한하는 등 활발한 활동을 이어가고 있다.

금빛으로 빛나는 샹들리에의 레이어는 어느 공간에서도 인테리어의 분위기를 한 단계 우아하게 전환한다.
조명 레이어는 그 자체로도 독립적인 오브제로서 균형의 완결을 이루며, 설치 미술작품에 근접하는 조형성을 드러낸다. 절제된 인테리어에는 정교한 입체감을, 화려한 공간에는 또 하나의 정점을 부여한다.

올해 신작인 'Pòta!'는 기존 'Fil de Fer'와 유사한 형태지만 형태를 자유자재로 변형할 수 있도록 설계되었다.
무선으로 설치가 가능하다는 점이 특징이다.
